1. John Richarby (joiner? farmer) b abt 1745, possibly in Scotland - married to Jean, from Scotland. She died 1847 in Edgehill, West Derby, Liverpool - recorded with her granddaughter in 1841 census. (Jane Rickerby married to Anthony Organ)

Death cert of Jean RICKERBY said she was 101 in 1847 and widow of John Rickerby, farmer. The informant was Anthony ORGAN.

One of his sons, also John, who married Phoebe Waters in 1805, retained the spelling of Richarby, as did his descendants through to this day. His siblings and cousins with the exception of William used either Rickerby or Rickarby.

2. John and Phoebe had a son John born 1806 in the same month as his father died.
